HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM Pattern Select Switch Eco Mode Circuit

DESCRIPTION

When selecting ECO mode, the switch operation signal is sent to the air conditioning amplifier assembly. Following this, ECO mode control is activated for the heater and air conditioning system.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (CAN BUS CHECK)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / CAN Bus Check.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      All of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed. A
      None of the ECUs and sensors that are currently connected to the CAN communication system are displayed, or some of them are not displayed. B

  2. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (ALL)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Check for DTCs of all system by following the prompts on the tester screen.

  3. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (COMBINATION METER)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Combination Meter / Active Test / Indicat. ECO Mode.

    4. Perform the "Indicat. ECO Mode" Active Test.

    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Air Conditioning / Data List / ECO Switch.

    4. Read the value displayed on the intelligent tester.

  5. CHECK PATTERN SELECT SWITCH (ECO SWITCH)

      Remove the pattern select switch (ECO switch).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L78-2 (ECU) - L78-5 (E) ECO Switch ON Below 1 Ω
      L78-2 (ECU) - L78-5 (E) ECO Switch OFF 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Install the pattern select switch.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO SWITCH - BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect connector L78 from the pattern select switch (ECO switch).

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    3. Connect the pattern select switch connector.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (ECO SWITCH - AIR CONDITIONING AMPLIFIER ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect connector L78 from the pattern select switch.

    2. Disconnect connector L17 from the air conditioning amplifier assembly.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    4. Connect the air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.

    5. Connect the pattern select switch connector.
