DESCRIPTION
The MG ECU located in the inverter with converter assembly monitors its internal operation and it will set DTCs when it detects malfunctions.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Tech Tips
If DTC P0A1A-151, P0A1A-155, P0A1A-658, P0A1A-659, P0A1A-791 DTC P0A1B-163, P0A1B-164, P0A1B-192, P0A1B-511, P0A1B-512, P0A1B-661, P0A1B-786 or P0A1B-794 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.
Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 5 seconds or more.
If DTC P0A1A-156or P0A1B-193 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.
Turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 1 minute or more.
If DTC P0A1A-166 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.
Turn the power switch on (READY).
With the vehicle stopped and park (P) selected, depress the accelerator pedal and start the engine.
Depress the accelerator pedal and keep the engine running for 30 seconds or more.
If DTC P0A1B-198 is output, clear the DTCs, perform the following procedure, and check that the same DTC is not output after the repair.
Turn the power switch on (READY).
Drive the vehicle at 3 mph (5 km/h) or more for 30 seconds or more.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Check if DTCs are output.

Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the power switch on (IG).

Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.
Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.
Turn the power switch off.

Turn the power switch on (READY) and wait for 5 seconds or more.
Depress the accelerator pedal with the engine stopped and park (P) selected to start the engine and idle it for 10 seconds or more.
Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.
Check if DTCs are output.
