PARKING BRAKE CABLE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL NO. 2 PARKING BRAKE CABLE CLAMP

      Engage the 2 claws to install a new No. 2 parking brake cable clamp to the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Even if a one-peace type No. 2 parking brake cable clamp was originally installed, make sure to install a separate type No. 2 parking brake cable clamp.

  2. INSTALL NO. 3 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly with the 5 bolts.

      Torque:
      6.0 N*m  { 61 kgf*cm, 53 in.*lbf }

      Install the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Be sure to engage the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly clip onto the rear disc brake cylinder assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

    4. A01JBOM

      Engage the clamp to install the No. 2 parking brake cable clamp.

  3. INSTALL REAR FLOOR SIDE MEMBER COVER LH

      Install the rear floor side member cover LH with the nut and 2 bolts.

  4. INSTALL FRONT NO. 2 FLOOR HEAT INSULATOR

      Install the front No. 2 floor heat insulator with the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

  5. INSTALL FRONT EXHAUST PIPE ASSEMBLY

  6. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE PULL ROD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Connect the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly to the No. 1 parking brake pull rod sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    2. Connect the No. 2 parking brake cable assembly to the No. 1 parking brake pull rod sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips

      Perform the same procedure as for the No. 3 parking brake cable assembly.

  7. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake pedal assembly.

      Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. A01J8WB

      Bend the parking brake pedal claw.

    4. A01JA27

      Temporarily install the adjusting nut.

  8. INSTALL NO. 1 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly through the parking brake pedal assembly.

      Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

    3. A01JAVT

      Bend the parking brake pedal claw.

    4. A01JATB

      Temporarily install the adjusting nut.

  9. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

  10. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

  11. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
