Use the same procedures for the RH side and LH side.
The procedures listed below are for the LH side.
When removing the rear door window frame moulding, heat the vehicle body and rear door window frame moulding using a heat light.

Note
Do not heat the vehicle body and rear door window frame moulding excessively.
PRECAUTION (w/ Power Window)
Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL (w/ Power Window)
Note
When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR HANDLE ASSEMBLY (w/o Power Window)
Insert clip remover between the plate and trim board.
Turn the handle counterclockwise to remove the snap ring and handle.
REMOVE REAR DOOR REGULATOR INSIDE HANDLE PLATE (w/o Power Window)
Remove the inside handle plate.
REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 1 STIFFENER CUSHION
Remove the stiffener cushion.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG LH
Using moulding remover A, detach the 3 claws and remove the bezel plug.
REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP COVER LH
Using moulding remover A, detach the 10 claws and remove the assist grip cover.
REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL (w/ Power Window)
Using moulding remover A, detach the 6 claws and the clip.
Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 3 screws.
Using a clip remover, detach the 8 clips.

Pull out the rear door trim board in the direction indicated by the arrow.
for 11 Speakers:
Disconnect the connector.
Disconnect the 2 cables from the inside handle.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
Remove the inner glass weatherstrip by pulling it upward in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
Disconnect connector and remove the service hole cover.
Tech Tips
Remove the remaining tape on the door.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH
Remove the rear door glass run.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the screw.
Remove the 2 bolts and rear door window division bar sub-assembly.
REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH
Remove the rear door quarter window glass and rear door quarter window weatherstrip as a unit as shown in the illustration.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the rear door glass sub-assembly from the rear door window regulator sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the door glass.
REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING LH

Put protective tape around the rear door belt moulding.
Detach the 7 claws and remove the rear door belt moulding.
Tech Tips
If either of the claws labeled A is damaged, replace the rear door belt moulding with a new one.
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRAME GARNISH LH
Detach the 2 clips.
Detach the claws and remove the rear door frame garnish.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
Detach the 3 clips and remove the upper part of the rear door weatherstrip so that the rear door window frame moulding can be removed.
Remove the double-sided tape.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Put protective tape around the rear door window frame moulding.
Detach the clip from the back of the door panel, and slightly pull the top of the rear door window frame moulding away from the door.
Using a moulding remover, detach the double-sided tape and butyl tape, and remove the rear door window frame moulding.
REMOVE REAR DOOR MOULDING SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE LH
Put a 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.
Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip of the drill, as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Tape the 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.
Lightly press the drill against the 8 rivets, drill off the flanges of the 8 rivets, and remove the rear door moulding outside.
Note
Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
Do not pry the rivet with the drill, because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivet or the drill bit.
Be careful of the drilled rivet as it may become hot.
Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled area.
