DESCRIPTION

The swivel motor receives a signal from the headlight swivel ECU to operate and sends a signal indicating the direction of the headlight and condition of the headlight swivel motor to the headlight swivel ECU.

  • A malfunction in the headlight swivel motor RH.

  • An open or short in the headlight swivel motor RH circuit.

  • Headlight assembly RH

  • Harness or connector

Tech Tips


  • Perform a visual check of the headlight (swivel motor) before replacing it.

  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2412 or B2413 output does not occur.

    NG

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SWIVEL MOTOR) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (SWIVEL MOTOR)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Active Test.

    5. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test.

    1. Disconnect the A38 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the A38 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A52 or A51 headlight connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
