DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor receives a signal from the headlight swivel ECU to operate. The headlight swivel ECU receives a signal indicating the operating conditions of the headlight leveling motor.

  • An open or short in the headlight leveling motor RH circuit.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2417 or B2418 output does not occur.

    NG

    PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT LEVELING MOTOR)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Active Test.

    5. Using the intelligent tester, perform the Active Test.

  4. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Data List.

    5. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the A38 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A26*1 and A50*2 headlight connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
