DESCRIPTION

The headlight leveling motor operates by receiving the signal from the headlight swivel ECU. The headlight swivel ECU detects the headlight leveling motor status using the signal from headlight leveling motor.

  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check for DTCs Click here.

      OK
      DTC B2424 or B2425 output does not occur.

    NG

    READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU) Click here

    OK

    USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

  2. READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU)


    1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Data List.

    5. Using the intelligent tester, read the Data List.

      +B Headlight swivel ECU power source voltage/Min.: 0 V, Max.: 19.75 V 11 to 14 V -

      Power supply voltage is 11 to 14 V.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

    1. Disconnect the A38 headlight swivel ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the A26 or A25 headlight connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      for LH

      A38-30 (LHT) - A26-2 (LHT) Always Below 1 Ω
      A38-30 (LHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      for RH
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition

      A38-11 (RHT) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
