WIPER AND WASHER SYSTEM (w/ Rain Sensor) Washer Motor Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The windshield wiper relay receives washer switch information from the front wiper switch, and operates the washer motor.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR - BATTERY)

      Disconnect the A13 motor connector.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      A13-1 - Body ground Ignition switch ON 11 to 14 V

  2. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      Remove the windshield washer motor Click here.

    2. Apply battery voltage to the windshield washer motor and check the operation of the windshield washer motor.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 1

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

      Windshield washer motor operation is normal

      Disconnect the A13 motor connector.

    2. Disconnect the D60 relay connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A13-2 - D60-25 (W) Always Below 1 Ω
      A13-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

      Disconnect the D34 switch connector.

    2. Disconnect the A13 motor connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A13-2 - D34-3 (WF) Always Below 1 Ω
      D34-2 (EW) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      D34-3 (WF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
