LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE BACK DOOR ASSIST GRIP

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the 2 screws and assist grip.

  2. REMOVE DOOR ASSIST GRIP

      Pull the assist grip in the direction shown by the arrow labeled (1) to disconnect the grip.

    2. Pull out the assist grip to remove it.

  3. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM COVER

      Using a clip remover, remove the 10 clips and cover.

  4. REMOVE REAR SPOILER (w/ Rear Spoiler)

    1. Remove the 2 nuts.

    2. Put protective tape around the rear spoiler.

    3. Insert a piano wire between the vehicle body and rear spoiler.

    4. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to both wire ends.

    5. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the rear spoiler to the vehicle body.

    6. Detach the 5 clips and remove the rear spoiler.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

      Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. A00ONFG

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and remove the No. 13 wiring harness protector and No. 3 wiring harness protector.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  6. REMOVE NO. 2 WIRING HARNESS PROTECTOR

      Detach the claw and remove the cable lever.

    2. A00OISA

      Using a clip remover, remove the clip and protector.

    3. A00ONTH

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and remove the No. 12 wiring harness protector and No. 2 wiring harness protector.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A003BFO

      Raise the cover of the luggage compartment door lock as shown in the illustration.

    2. A003CH6

      Disconnect the luggage door lock control cable sub-assembly.

    3. Return the cover of the luggage compartment door lock to its original position.

    4. A003CL6

      Disconnect the connector.

    5. Remove the 2 bolts and luggage compartment door lock assembly.

  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      w/ Double Locking System:

      Using a clip remover, remove the 5 clamps and cable sub-assembly.

      w/o Double Locking System:

      Using a clip remover, remove the 6 clamps and cable sub-assembly.

  9. REMOVE LUGGAGE DOOR OPENER CABLE PROTECTOR RH (w/ Double Locking System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the luggage door opener cable protector.

  10. REMOVE TELEVISION CAMERA ASSEMBLY (w/ Rear View Monitor System)

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A00OJVW

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear television camera assembly.

  11. REMOVE REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY LH


    1. A00OKKW

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 4 nuts and rear light lens and body LH.

  12. REMOVE REAR LIGHT LENS AND BODY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY OUTSIDE

      Remove the 5 nuts.

      Put protective tape around the luggage compartment door outside garnish.

    3. Detach the clip and remove the luggage compartment door outside garnish.

  14. REMOVE LICENSE PLATE LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 license plate light assemblies.

  15. REMOVE BACK DOOR OPENER SWITCH ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector and remove the back door opener switch.
