ROOF HEADLINING (for Wagon) REMOVAL

PRECAUTION

Note

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

Note

When disconnecting the cable some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE BENCH TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY
1. Detach the 2 front hooks of the seat cushion from the vehicle body.
  
  Note
  
  Follow the instructions below carefully as the cushion frame deforms easily.
  1. Choose a hook to detach first. Place your hands near the hook as shown in the illustration. Then lift the seat cushion to detach the hook.
  2. Repeat for the other hook.
2. Detach the 2 rear hooks of the seat cushion from the seatback.
  
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
REMOVE REAR SIDE SEATBACK ASSEMBLY LH
1. Remove the bolt and disconnect the rear seat 3 point type belt anchor.
2. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw to open the cap of the rear seat shoulder belt guide.
3. Remove the seat belt from the belt guide.
4. Remove the bolt, and then remove the side seatback LH as shown in the illustration.

1. Pull the lever and remove the tonneau cover.

Pull the upper part of the garnish toward the inside of the cabin and detach the 2 clips.

Turn the end of the front pillar garnish clip 90° with needle-nose pliers and remove it from the front pillar garnish.

Note

Front pillar garnish clips are reusable if they are not removed from the vehicle and have no damage.
Replace the front pillar garnish clips with new ones if they are removed from the vehicle.

Tech Tips

Tape the tips of the needle-nose pliers before use.

Detach the 2 guides and remove the front pillar garnish.

Protect the curtain shield airbag assembly.

Completely cover the airbag with a cloth or nylon sheet and secure the ends of the cover with adhesive tape as shown in the illustration.

Cover the curtain shield airbag with a protective cover as soon as the front pillar garnish is removed.

3. Detach the clip.
4. Pass the front seat outer belt floor anchor through the center pillar garnish, and remove the center pillar garnish.

1. Slightly bend the upper part of the coin box to release the 2 stoppers and open the coin box until it is horizontal.
2. Pull the coin box toward the rear of the vehicle to detach the 2 hinges and remove the coin box.

1. Using a moulding remover, detach the 4 clips.
2. Disconnect the connector and remove the map light.

Before removing the roof headlining, move the front seats and rear seat to the positions shown in the illustration.

  Disconnect the EC mirror connector.
2. w/ Rain Sensor:
  
  Disconnect the rain sensor connector.
3. Disconnect the connector and 3 clamps from the front pillar RH.
4. Remove the 2 bolts.
5. Disconnect each connector and detach each clamp from the rear pillar RH.
