FRONT CONSOLE BOX (w/ Console Box Lid) REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      *1 Protective Tape
      *2 Clamp
      *3 Guide

      Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 clips and 5 claws.

    3. Detach the clamp.

    4. Detach the guide near the front of the vehicle and remove the finish panel.

  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      *3 Guide

      Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 clips and 5 claws.

    3. Detach the clamp.

    4. Detach the guide near the front of the vehicle and remove the finish panel.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL


    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 clips and remove the box panel.

  4. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH


    1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws and remove the panel end.

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (for LHD)

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws and remove the panel end.

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (for RHD)


    1. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws and remove the panel end.

    2. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws.

      2. Remove the panel end and then disconnect the connector.

  7. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)


    1. A005TOC

      Twist the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle and CVT)

      Twist the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  9. REMOVE REAR UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

      Detach the cover.

    2. A005V73

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 claws.

    3. Detach the 6 clips and remove the console panel.

  10. REMOVE REAR UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Automatic Transaxle and CVT)

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 claws.

    2. Detach the 6 clips.

    3. Remove the console panel and then disconnect the connector.

  11. REMOVE LOWER INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 clips.

      *1 w/ Seat Heater System

      Remove the finish panel and then disconnect the connectors.

  12. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX CUP HOLDER


    1. Remove the cup holder.

  13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET


    1. Remove the 2 carpets.

  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY


    1. for Manual Transaxle:

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. for Automatic Transaxle and CVT:

      Remove the 4 screws.

    3. w/ Power Outlet Socket:

      Disconnect the connectors.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts and console box.
