  1. INITIALIZE SLIDING ROOF DRIVE GEAR SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Check that the sliding roof drive gear can be initialized Click here.

      OK
      Sliding roof drive gear can be initialized.

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Check the DTCs Click here.

    1. Remove the map light Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      8 (UP) - 7 (GND) Open switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      8 (UP) - 7 (GND) Open switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher
      9 (DOWN) - 7 (GND) Close switch is pressed Below 1 Ω
      9 (DOWN) - 7 (GND) Close switch is not pressed 10 kΩ or higher

    1. Disconnect the K9 drive gear connector.

    2. Disconnect the K7 map light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      K9-7 (OPEN) - K7-8 (UP) Always Below 1 Ω
      K9-9 (CLOSE) - K7-9 (DOWN) Always Below 1 Ω
      K7-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K9-2 (E) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      K9-7 (OPEN) or K7-8 (UP) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      K9-9 (CLOSE) or K7-9 (DOWN) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
