FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the LH side and RH side.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE VERTICAL SEAT ADJUSTER KNOB CAP (for Driver Side)

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the cap.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE VERTICAL ADJUSTING HANDLE LH (for Driver Side)


    1. A010LKH

      Remove the 2 screws and handle.

  3. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH


    1. A010LM3

      Raise the reclining adjuster release handle to reveal the claw. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the release handle.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Pull the shield to detach the hook and claw.

    3. Remove the cushion shield.

      w/ Lumbar Support:

      Disconnect the connector.

  5. REMOVE LUMBAR FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH (w/ Lumbar Support)

      Remove the 2 screws and switch.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH

      *2 Wire Harness Clamp

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Pull the shield to detach the hook and remove the shield.

    3. Detach the wire harness clamp.

  7. REMOVE FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. for Driver Side:

      Disconnect the connector and detach the clamps.

    2. for Passenger Side:

      Disconnect the connectors and detach the clamps.

      Remove the nut and front seat inner belt.

  8. REMOVE SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD

      Detach the 2 hooks and remove the spring.

    2. A010M6T

      Remove the nut and reclining handle.

    3. for Driver Side:


      1. A010KSL

        Detach the clip and remove the connector link.

      2. A010H9Y

        Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the vertical adjuster handle bracket with connector link.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    4. A010J2S

      Detach the 2 rubber bands.

    5. w/ Seat Heater System:


      1. A010GDU

        Cut off the cable tie.

      2. A010J4I

        Disconnect the connector.

    6. for Passenger Side:


      1. A010LZM

        Detach the 2 hooks and remove the connector holder.

    7. A010MAE

      w/ Lumbar Support:

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    8. w/ Seat Heater System:

      Disconnect the connector.

    9. Detach the hooks and remove the seat cushion cover with pad.

  9. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. A010GGQ

      Detach the hooks and remove the cushion cover.

  10. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER


    1. Detach the 4 hooks.

    2. A010JHK

      Detach the 2 hooks from the bottom of the seatback cover and roll up the seatback cover.

    3. A010KG1

      Detach the 2 hooks and remove the 2 straps.

    4. A010LR4

      Pass the 2 straps through the separate type front seatback pad holes to the surface.

    5. Roll up the cover.

    6. A010IWX

      Remove the screw and detach the seatback cover bracket.

      Remove the hog rings and detach the 3 hooks from the center of the seatback pad and roll up the seatback cover.

    8. w/o Active Headrest:

      Remove the front seat headrest.

    9. w/ Active headrest:


      1. A010LXH

        Detach the 2 hooks and open the seatback mat.

      2. A010HQA

        Cut off the cable tie.

      3. A010HPR

        Pull the wire to loosen it, and then disconnect the end of the wire from the active headrest lower unit.

      4. A010LF4

        Detach the 2 claws and remove the active headrest lower unit.

      5. A010HE4

        Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and wire.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      6. A010HNJE01

        Remove the wire in the order shown in the illustration.

      7. A010M4C

        Push the headrest support and detach the claw.

      8. Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the front seat headrest.

        Tech Tips

        Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    10. A010J3Q

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

    11. A010HN1

      Detach the 2 hooks and remove the seatback cover.

  11. REMOVE SEAT CLIMATE CONTROL CONTROLLER LH (w/ Seat Heater System)


    1. A010GBU

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the seat climate control controller.

  12. REMOVE FRONT SEAT WIRE LH (w/ Lumbar Support)


    1. A010JVG

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. A010IO2

      Detach the wire harness clamp.

    3. A010LSB

      Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    4. Detach the claw and remove the seat wire.

  13. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ADJUSTER ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A010KVZ

      Remove the separate type front seatback pad.

    2. A010HUV

      Detach the connector.

    3. A010LLU

      Detach the 2 wire harness clamps.

    4. Using a T50 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 4 "TORX" bolts and front seat adjuster.

  14. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. A010GYO

      Disconnect the connector clamp and detach the 2 harness clamps underside of seat.

    2. A010IHJ

      Detach the 2 harness clamps and remove the 2 nuts and front seat airbag assembly LH.

      Note

      The nuts must not be reused.

  15. REMOVE REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. A010J14

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the seat track cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  16. REMOVE NO. 2 REAR UPPER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. A010KLS

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the seat track cover.
