AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

This circuit sends a microphone signal from the microphone amplifier assembly to the radio receiver assembly.

It also supplies power from the radio receiver assembly to the telephone microphone assembly.

  1. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Radio Receiver Assembly)

      Disconnect the D58 radio receiver connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (MACC) - Body ground Ignition switch ON 4.75 to 5.25 V

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER - MAP LIGHT)

      Disconnect the D58 radio receiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the K7 map light connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D58-3 (MACC) - K7-12 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      D58-2 (MIN+) - K7-11 (MIC+)
      D58-5 (MIN-) - K7-10 (MIC-)
      D58-1 (SNS2) - K7-3 (SNS2)
      D58-3 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D58-2 (MIN+) - Body ground
      D58-5 (MIN-) - Body ground
      D58-1 (SNS2) - Body ground
      D58-6 (SGND) - Body ground

  3. REPLACE MICROPHONE WITH ANOTHER AND CHECK


    1. Replace the telephone microphone with a normal one Click here.

    2. Check if the same problem occurs again.
