FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT


  1. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER


    1. A00OL3A

      Remove the 4 screws and 2 bolts.

    2. A00OI9A

      Remove the 3 screws, 8 bolts and front lower bumper absorber.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A00ON3U

      Remove the 10 clips and under cover.

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

      Remove the 5 clips and under cover RH.

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Remove the 5 clips and under cover.

  5. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

    1. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle.

    2. A00DS8C

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the oil pan and drain the fluid.

    3. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the oil pan.

      Torque:
      1.7 N*m  { 17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf }
    4. A00DR1Y

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install a new gasket and the overflow plug to the oil pan.

      Torque:
      40 N*m  { 408 kgf*cm, 30 ft.*lbf }

  6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Remove the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  7. REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal from the transaxle case.

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle case.

  8. REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal from the transaxle housing.

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle housing.

  9. INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the transaxle case.

      09950-70010   ( 09951-07200 )
      09554-14010
      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  10. INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH


    1. A00DPPIE01

      Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the transaxle housing.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  11. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Install the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  12. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID


    1. Add continuously variable transaxle fluid Click here.

  13. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Install the under cover LH with the 5 clips.

  14. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

      Install the under cover RH with the 5 clips.

  15. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A00ON3U

      Install the under cover with the 10 clips.

  16. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER


    1. A00OI9A

      Install the front lower bumper absorber with the 3 screws and 8 bolts.

    2. A00OL3A

      Install the 4 screws and 2 bolts.
