FRONT DIFFERENTIAL OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT


  1. REMOVE FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER

      Remove the 4 screws and 2 bolts.

      Remove the 3 screws, 8 bolts and front lower bumper absorber.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER

      Remove the 10 clips and under cover.

  3. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

      Remove the 5 clips and under cover RH.

  4. REMOVE REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Remove the 5 clips and under cover.

  5. DRAIN CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the overflow plug and gasket from the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

      *1 No. 1 Transmission Oil Filler Tube

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, remove the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube from the continuously variable transaxle assembly and drain the continuously variable transaxle fluid.

    3. Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the No. 1 transmission oil filler tube to the continuously variable transaxle assembly.

      Torque:
      1.7 N*m  { 17 kgf*cm, 15 in.*lbf }

    4. Temporarily install the gasket and overflow plug.

      Tech Tips

      Reuse the old gasket. The plug will be removed again to adjust the fluid level.

  6. REMOVE FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Remove the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  7. REMOVE DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET


    1. Remove the 3 bolts and bracket.

  8. REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

    1. Using SST, tap out the oil seal from the transaxle case.

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle case.

  9. REMOVE CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH

    1. Using SST, remove the oil seal from the transaxle housing.

      Note

      Do not damage the transaxle housing.

  10. INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL LH

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the transaxle case.

      09726-27012   ( 09726-02041 )
      09950-70010   ( 09951-07200 )
      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  11. INSTALL CVT TYPE T OIL SEAL RH

    1. Using SST and a hammer, tap in a new oil seal to the transaxle housing.

      Standard depth
      -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.0197 to 0.0197 in.)

      Note

      Do not damage the oil seal lip.

    2. Coat the lip of the oil seal with MP grease.

  12. INSTALL DRIVE SHAFT BEARING BRACKET


    1. Install the bracket with the 3 bolts.

      Torque:
      64 N*m  { 650 kgf*cm, 47 ft.*lbf }

  13. INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH AND RH


    1. Install the front drive shaft LH and RH Click here.

  14. ADD CONTINUOUSLY VARIABLE TRANSAXLE FLUID


    1. Add continuously variable transaxle fluid Click here.

  15. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER LH


    1. Install the under cover LH with the 5 clips.

  16. INSTALL REAR ENGINE UNDER COVER RH

      Install the under cover RH with the 5 clips.

  17. INSTALL NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER


    1. A00ON3U

      Install the under cover with the 10 clips.

  18. INSTALL FRONT LOWER BUMPER ABSORBER


    1. A00OI9A

      Install the front lower bumper absorber with the 3 screws and 8 bolts.

    2. A00OL3A

      Install the 4 screws and 2 bolts.
