SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE LOWER NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      *2 Clamp
      *3 Guide

      Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 clips and 5 claws.

    3. Detach the clamp.

    4. Detach the guide near the front of the vehicle and remove the finish panel.

  2. REMOVE LOWER NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL

      Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 clips and 5 claws.

    3. Detach the clamp.

    4. Detach the guide near the front of the vehicle and remove the finish panel.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL (w/o Console Box Lid)

      Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 6 clips and remove the box panel.

  4. REMOVE NO. 3 BOX PANEL (w/ Console Box Lid)


    1. Place protective tape as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a moulding remover, detach the 6 clips and remove the box panel.

  5. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END LH


    1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws and remove the panel end.

  6. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (for LHD)

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws and remove the panel end.

  7. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL END RH (for RHD)


    1. w/o TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws and remove the panel end.

    2. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Using a moulding remover B, detach the 4 clips and 5 claws.

      2. Remove the panel end and then disconnect the connector.

  8. REMOVE SHIFT LEVER KNOB SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A005TOC

      Twist the shift lever knob in the direction indicated by the arrow and remove it.

  9. REMOVE REAR UPPER CONSOLE PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Detach the cover.

    2. A005V73

      Using a moulding remover B, detach the 2 claws.

    3. Detach the 6 clips and remove the console panel.

  10. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX CUP HOLDER (w/ Console Box Lid)


    1. Remove the cup holder.

  11. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET (w/ Console Box Lid)


    1. Remove the 2 carpets.

  12. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX CARPET (w/o Console Box Lid)


    1. Remove the 3 carpets.

  13. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/ Console Box Lid)


    1. for Manual Transaxle:

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. for Automatic Transaxle and CVT:

      Remove the 4 screws.

    3. w/ Power Outlet Socket:

      Disconnect the connectors.

    4. Remove the 4 bolts and console box.

  14. REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (w/o Console Box Lid)


    1. w/ Power Outlet Socket:


      1. Disconnect the connectors.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Remove the 4 bolts and console box.

  15. REMOVE FLOOR SHIFT LEVER ASSEMBLY


    1. A003BWK

      Detach the 3 wire harness clamps.

    2. A003C7D

      Remove the 4 bolts.

    3. A003BBD

      Remove the clip and disconnect the end of the select control cable.

    4. A003CLS

      Remove the clip and disconnect the end of the shift control cable.

    5. A003C4H

      Detach the claws, disconnect the shift control cable and select control cable, and remove the shift lever assembly.
