IGNITION SWITCH REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE STEERING COLUMN ASSEMBLY


    1. for Power Tilt and Power Telescopic Steering Column:

      Remove the steering column assembly Click here.

    2. for Manual Tilt and Manual Telescopic Steering Column:

      Remove the steering column assembly Click here.

  2. REMOVE UPPER STEERING COLUMN WITH SWITCH BRACKET ASSEMBLY


    1. Secure the steering column assembly in a vise.

    2. Using a center punch, mark the center of the tapered-head bolt.

    3. Using a 3 to 4 mm (0.12 to 0.16 in.) diameter drill bit, drill a hole in the tapered-head bolt.

      *1 Screw Extractor

      Using a screw extractor, remove the tapered-head bolt, and then remove the steering column upper with switch bracket assembly from the steering column assembly.

  3. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for CVT)

      Detach the claw and disconnect the key interlock solenoid wire harness from the ignition switch connector.

    2. Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.

  4. REMOVE IGNITION SWITCH ASSEMBLY (for Manual Transaxle)

      Remove the 2 screws and ignition switch.
