FUEL TANK DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE FUEL PUMP GAUGE RETAINER

      Using a 6 mm socket hexagon wrench, set SST to the fuel pump gauge retainer.

      Tech Tips


      • Attach SST claws securely with the fuel pump gauge retainer ribs to secure SST.

      • Install SST while pressing SST claws toward the fuel pump gauge retainer (toward the center of SST).

      Using SST, loosen the fuel pump gauge retainer.

      Note


      • Do not use any tools other than those specified in this operation. Damage to the fuel pump gauge retainer or the fuel tank may result.

      • Loosen the retainer by turning it counterclockwise while holding SST down. Do not allow the protrusions of the fuel suction with pump to slip out of their notches on the fuel tank.

      Tech Tips

      The ribs on the fuel pump gauge retainer can be fitted into the tips of SST.

    3. Remove the fuel pump gauge retainer while holding the fuel suction with pump assembly by hand.

  2. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION WITH PUMP ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the fuel suction with pump assembly from the fuel tank.

      Note

      Make sure that the fuel sender gauge arm does not bend.

      Remove the gasket from the fuel tank.

  3. REMOVE NO. 2 FUEL TANK CUSHION

      Remove the 3 cushions.

  4. REMOVE NO. 4 FUEL TANK CUSHION

      Remove the cushion.

  5. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL TANK CUSHION

      Remove the cushion.

  6. REMOVE FUEL TANK MAIN TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the fuel tank main tube.

  7. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL EVAPORATION TUBE SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 2 clamps and remove the No. 1 fuel evaporation tube.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 CHARCOAL CANISTER OUTLET HOSE


    1. A00DPRC

      Disconnect the 3 clamps and remove the No. 1 charcoal canister outlet hose.

  9. REMOVE NO. 1 EVAPORATION VENT TUBE CLAMP

      Disconnect the hose and remove the No. 1 evaporation vent tube clamp.
