INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuses of circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE

  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (OPERATE VSV FOR ACIS)

    A005UPLE01

    1. Disconnect the vacuum hose from port F on the vacuum switching valve (for ACIS).

    2. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Active Test / Active the VSV for Intake Control.

    5. Operate the VSV for ACIS.

    6. Check the VSV air flow when switching the VSV on and off.

      OK
      Test Condition Specified Condition
VSV is ON Air from port E flows out through port F
VSV is OFF Air from port E flows out through air filter

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK VACUUM HOSES (VACUUM SWITCHING VALVE - INTAKE AIR CONTROL VALVE, INTAKE MANIFOLD)

    1. Check the vacuum hoses Click here.

    3. Remove the integration relay from the engine room relay block.

    4. Disconnect the integration relay connector.

    5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance (Check for open)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      B26-1 - B39-38 (ACIS) Always Below 1 Ω
      B26-2 - 1B-4 Always Below 1 Ω
      Standard Resistance (Check for short)
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
B26-1 or B39-38 (ACIS) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
B26-2 or 1B-4 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    6. Reconnect the VSV for ACIS connector.

    7. Reconnect the ECM connector.

    8. Reconnect the integration relay connector.

    9. Install the integration relay.
