  1. INSPECT REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      Front view of wire harness connector

      (to Rear Combination Light Assembly LH)

      Disconnect the connector from the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R17-1 - R17-5 Light control switch off Below 1 V
      Light control switch in tail position 11 to 14 V
      R17-2 - R17-5 Brake pedal released Below 1 V
      Brake pedal depressed 11 to 14 V
      R17-3 - R17-5 Turn signal switch in neutral position Below 1 V
      Power switch on (IG) and turn signal switch in left turn position 11 to 14 V (60 to 120 times per minute)
      R17-4 - R17-5 Power switch on (READY) and shift lever not in R Below 1 V
      Power switch on (READY) and shift lever in R 11 to 14 V
      R17-6*1 - R17-5 Light control switch in tail position and rear fog light switch off Below 1 V
      Light control switch in tail position and rear fog light switch on 11 to 14 V

      • *1: for LHD

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.

      Disconnect the connector from the rear combination light assembly RH.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      S17-1 - S17-5 Light control switch off Below 1 V
      Light control switch in tail position 11 to 14 V
      S17-2 - S17-5 Brake pedal released Below 1 V
      Brake pedal depressed 11 to 14 V
      S17-3 - S17-5 Turn signal switch in neutral position Below 1 V
      Power switch on (IG) and turn signal switch in right turn position 11 to 14 V (60 to 120 times per minute)
      S17-4 - S17-5 Power switch on (READY) and shift lever not in R Below 1 V
      Power switch on (READY) and shift lever in R 11 to 14 V
      S17-6*1 - S17-5 Light control switch in tail position and rear fog light switch off Below 1 V
      Light control switch in tail position and rear fog light switch on 11 to 14 V

      • *1: w/ Rear Fog Light for RHD

      If the result is not as specified, repair or replace the wire harness or connector.
