DESCRIPTION

w/o Intelligent Parking Assist System:

The DTC is stored when the headlight leveling ECU assembly detects malfunctions in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly power source or rear height control sensor sub-assembly.

w/ Intelligent Parking Assist System:

The DTC is stored when the headlight leveling ECU assembly detects malfunctions in the rear height control sensor sub-assembly power source, rear height control sensor sub-assembly or parking assist ECU.

3. READ VALUE USING GTS

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Turn the GTS on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / HL Auto Leveling / Data List.

   5. Read the display on the GTS.

4. INSPECT REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Remove the rear height control sensor sub-assembly Click here.

   2. Inspect the rear height control sensor sub-assembly Click here.

      OK
      Rear height control sensor sub-assembly is normal.

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Click here

5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (HEADLIGHT LEVELING ECU ASSEMBLY - REAR HEIGHT CONTROL SENSOR SUB-ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the A63 headlight leveling ECU assembly connector.

   2. Disconnect the S2 rear height control sensor sub-assembly connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A63-12 (SBR) - S2-3 (SHB) Always Below 1 Ω A63-21 (SGR) - S2-1 (SHG) Always Below 1 Ω A63-12 (SBR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher A63-21 (SGR) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   2. Disconnect the L59 parking assist ECU connector.

   3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
