OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR DISASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure described below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Remove the 3 screws and side turn signal light assembly.

  2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR

      *a Cut the wire harness here

      Cut the wire harness at the position shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the wire harness with a new one.

      Remove the gasket.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the gasket with a new one.

      Disengage the 6 claws and guide and remove the lower cover.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the lower cover with a new one.

    4. A004124

      Disengage the clamp and wire harness.

      Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and base.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the "TORX" screws with new ones.

      Remove the 3 screws.

    7. A0040R8

      Disengage the clamp.

    8. Disconnect the 2 connectors and remove the mirror actuator.

      Remove the 2 screws.

    10. A0042H2

      Disengage the guide and remove the frame subassembly as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Make sure to replace the frame sub-assembly wire harness with a new one.
