FRONT WIPER MOTOR REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD


    1. Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.

  3. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

      Disengage the claw and 4 guides and remove the deck floor box RH.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD UPPER PLATE

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 3 floor board upper plate.

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM HEAD CAP

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the 3 claws to remove the front wiper arm head cap.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      • Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.

  7. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly LH.

  8. REMOVE FRONT WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY RH

      Remove the nut and front wiper arm and blade assembly RH.

  9. REMOVE COWL SIDE VENTILATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

      Using a screwdriver, disengage the claw and guide <A> as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disengage the guide <B> and remove the cowl side ventilator sub-assembly LH as shown in the illustration.

  10. REMOVE COWL SIDE VENTILATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

  11. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for LHD)

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 5 claws and 3 guides <A>.

    3. Disengage the 8 guides <B> and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  12. REMOVE COWL TOP VENTILATOR LOUVER SUB-ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. Disengage the 6 claws and 3 guides <A>.

    3. Disengage the 8 guides <B> and pull out the cowl top ventilator louver sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

  13. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR AND LINK ASSEMBLY


    1. Disengage the clamp.

      *1 Grommet - -
    2. Remove the 2 bolts.

    3. Disengage the grommet and separate the windshield wiper motor and link assembly as shown in the illustration.

      CAUTION:

      To reduce the risk of injury, carefully handle the parts during service.

      Place the windshield wiper motor and link assembly face down so that the connector faces up.

      CAUTION:

      To reduce the risk of injury, carefully handle the parts during service.

    5. Disengage the 2 clamps.

      CAUTION:

      To reduce the risk of injury, carefully handle the parts during service.

    6. Disconnect the connector and remove the windshield wiper motor and link assembly.

      CAUTION:

      To reduce the risk of injury, carefully handle the parts during service.

  14. REMOVE FRONT WIPER CRANK SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver, separate the windshield wiper link rod from the crank arm pivot of the front wiper crank sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. A0041CX

      Remove the nut and front wiper crank sub-assembly.

  15. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY


    1. A0041DP

      Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 2 bolts and windshield wiper motor assembly from the windshield wiper link assembly.
