REMOVE UPPER BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
Using a moulding remover, disengage the 4 clips and 4 claws, and remove the upper back door trim panel assembly.
REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH RH
Disengage the 3 clips and 2 claws, and remove the back door side garnish RH.
REMOVE BACK DOOR SIDE GARNISH LH
Disengage the 3 clips and 2 claws, and remove the back door side garnish LH.
REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD ASSEMBLY
Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip and claw.
Using a moulding remover, disengage the clip and claw.
Disengage the 3 clips in the order shown in the illustration.
Disengage the 2 clips by pulling the back door trim board assembly in the direction indicated by the arrows in the illustration.

Remove the back door trim board assembly by pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to disengage the 4 clips.
Note
Make sure to pull the back door trim board assembly in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration. If the back door trim board assembly is removed from the lower part, the door pull handle mounting area may interfere with the back door panel, resulting in damage to the back door trim board assembly.
REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM BOARD
Disengage the 5 clips and 2 guides, and remove the back door trim board.
REMOVE REAR SPOILER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Remove the 5 nuts.
Disengage the 2 clips to remove the rear spoiler assembly.
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM HEAD CAP (w/ Resin Wiper Arm)
for Back Door Glass:
Remove the rear wiper arm head cap Click here.
REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM AND BLADE ASSEMBLY
for Back Door Glass:
Remove the rear wiper arm and blade assembly Click here.
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
for Back Door Glass:
Remove the rear wiper motor grommet Click here.
REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
for Back Door Glass:
Remove the rear wiper motor assembly Click here.
REMOVE BACK DOOR GLASS
w/o Glass Breakage Sensor:
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
w/ Glass Breakage Sensor:
Disconnect the 4 connectors.

Apply protective tape to the outer surface of the vehicle body to prevent scratches.
Note
When separating the back door glass from the vehicle, be careful not to damage the paint or interior and exterior ornaments.

Pass a piano wire between the vehicle body and back door glass from the interior, as shown in the illustration.
Tech Tips
Do not allow the piano wire to interfere with the clips.
Tie both wire ends to wooden blocks or similar objects that can serve as handles.
Cut off the adhesive by pulling the piano wire around the back door glass.
Note
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible when removing the back door glass.
Using suction cups, disengage the 2 clips and remove the back door glass.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR GLASS ADHESIVE DAM
Remove the No. 1 back door glass adhesive dam.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING LH

Remove the No. 1 back window outside moulding LH.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING RH
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW LOWER MOULDING
Remove the No. 1 back window lower moulding.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER

Using a scraper, remove the No. 2 back window glass spacer.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back door glass.
Be sure to replace the No. 1 back window glass spacer with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 1 BACK WINDOW GLASS SPACER
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the No. 1 spacer and No. 2 spacer.
CLEAN BACK DOOR GLASS
Clean the outer edge of the back door glass with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the back door glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass.
Even if using a new back door glass, clean the back door glass with a non-residue solvent.
REMOVE BACK DOOR OUTSIDE GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY
for Back Door Window Fix Glass:
Remove the back door outside garnish sub-assembly Click here.
REMOVE BACK WINDOW FIX GLASS
w/o Glass Breakage Sensor:
Disconnect the 2 connectors.
w/ Glass Breakage Sensor:
Disconnect the 3 connectors.

Be sure to replace the back door glass adhesive dam with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING LH

Using a scraper, remove the NO. 2 back window outside moulding LH.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back window fix glass.
Be sure to replace the back window outside moulding with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK WINDOW OUTSIDE MOULDING RH

Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK WINDOW LOWER MOULDING
Using a scraper, remove the back window lower moulding.
Note
Be careful not to damage the back window fix glass.
Be sure to replace the back window lower moulding with a new one.
REMOVE NO. 2 BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER

REMOVE NO. 1 BACK DOOR GLASS SPACER
Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the No. 1 spacer and No. 2 spacer.
CLEAN BACK WINDOW FIX GLASS
Clean the outer edge of the back window fix glass with a non-residue solvent.
Note
Do not touch the back window fix glass surface after cleaning it.
Be careful not to damage the glass.
Even if using a new back window fix glass, clean the back window fix glass with a non-residue solvent.
CLEAN VEHICLE BODY

Using a scraper, remove the moulding and adhesive from the back window fix glass.
Clean and shape the contact surfaces of the vehicle body.
Using a knife, cut away excess adhesive on the contact surfaces of the vehicle body, as shown in the illustration.
Note
Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
Tech Tips
Leave as much adhesive on the vehicle body as possible.
Clean the contact surfaces of the vehicle body with a piece of cloth saturated with cleaner.
Tech Tips
Even if all the adhesive has been removed, clean the vehicle body.
