  1. SEAT BELT WARNING SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


    1. Driver side seat belt warning light:

      When the driver side seat belt is not fastened with the power switch on (IG), the driver side seat belt warning light on the combination meter assembly blinks.

    2. Front passenger side seat belt warning light:

      When the front passenger side seat belt is not fastened with the power switch on (IG) and the front passenger seat occupied, the front passenger side seat belt warning light on the telltale light assembly blinks.

    3. Rear seat belt warning:

      When the rear seat belt is not fastened after the rear door is opened and closed with the power switch on (IG), the multi-information display on the combination meter assembly displays the rear seat belt warning.

    4. Seat belt warning buzzer:

      When the vehicle is driven at approximately 20 km/h (12 mph) while the driver or front passenger side seat belt is not fastened, or rear seat belt is fastened and then later not fastened, the seat belt warning buzzer in the combination meter assembly sounds at an interval of 1.2 seconds for 30 seconds. After that, the buzzer sounds at an interval of 0.4 seconds for 90 seconds.

    Front seat inner belt assembly (for Driver side)

    (Driver side seat belt buckle switch)

    Informs the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) of the driver side seat belt condition (fastened or not fastened).

    Front seat inner belt assembly (for Front passenger side)

    (Front passenger side seat belt buckle switch)

    Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger side seat belt condition (fastened or not fastened).

    Rear seat inner belt assembly LH/Center/RH

    (Rear seat belt buckle switch)

    Informs the combination meter assembly of each rear seat belt condition (fastened or not fastened).
    Occupant detection sensor (Separate type front seat cushion pad) Informs the combination meter assembly of the front passenger side seat condition (occupied or not occupied).
    Rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH/RH Informs the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) of the rear door condition (open or closed).
    Main body ECU (Multiplex network body ECU) Sends the driver side seat belt buckle switch and rear door courtesy light switch signals to the combination meter assembly via CAN communication.
