FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY (for Manual Seat) REMOVAL


  1. PRECAUTION

    CAUTION:


    • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

    • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

    Note

    After turning the power switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal notices before proceeding with work Click here.

  2. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD


    1. Remove the rear No. 3 floor board.

  3. REMOVE DECK FLOOR BOX RH

      Disengage the claw and 4 guides and remove the deck floor box RH.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 3 FLOOR BOARD UPPER PLATE

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the rear No. 3 floor board upper plate.

  5. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

    CAUTION:

    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the auxiliary battery negative (-) terminal to disable the SRS system.

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. REMOVE FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  7. REMOVE OUTER SEAT TRACK COVER


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the foremost position.

      Disengage the 2 claws and remove the outer seat track cover.

  8. REMOVE INNER SEAT TRACK COVER

      Disengage the claw and guide, and remove the inner seat track cover.

  9. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

      Remove the 2 bolts on the rear side of front seat assembly.

    2. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the rearmost position.

      Remove the 2 bolts on the front side of front seat assembly.

    4. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to the center position. Also, operate the reclining adjuster release handle and move the front seatback assembly to the upright position.

    5. for Driver Side:


      1. Lift up the vertical adjusting handle and move the front seat assembly to upright position.

    6. Disconnect each connector and clamp under the front seat assembly.

    7. Remove the front seat assembly.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.
