B2006 Short to ground in the seat belt motor LH circuit continues for 1 second or more.
  • Front seat outer belt assembly LH

  • Wire harness or connector (seat belt control ECU - front seat outer belt assembly LH)

  • Seat belt control ECU

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

CAUTION:

The pretensioner is built into the front seat outer belt assembly LH. Be sure to follow the correct inspection procedure, as failure to follow the correct procedure (such as inspection of incorrect connectors) may deploy the pretensioner.

  1. INSPECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH

      Component without harness connected

      (Front Seat Outer Belt Assembly LH)

      Disconnect the R8 front seat outer belt assembly LH connector.

      Tech Tips

      Do not remove the front seat outer belt assembly LH.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      R8-1 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      R8-2 - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher

      CAUTION:

      Do not check a wrong connector.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY LH - SEAT BELT CONTROL ECU)


    1. Disconnect the L3 seat belt control ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L3-3 (MOL+) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
      L3-4 (MOL-) - Body ground Always 1 MΩ or higher
