DESCRIPTION

The driving support ECU assembly receives a pre-crash brake on/off signal from the pre-crash system cancel switch assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (PRE-CRASH BRAKE OFF SWITCH)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash 2 / Data List / Pre-Crash Brake OFF Switch.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - DRIVING SUPPORT ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L53 pre-crash system cancel switch assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the L54 driving support ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L53-1 - L54-5 (PBSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      L53-1 or L54-5 (PBSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PRE-CRASH SYSTEM CANCEL SWITCH ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the L53 pre-crash system cancel switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L53-2 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
