INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is replaced with a new one, adjustment of the millimeter wave radar sensor beam axis must be performed Click here.

  • Confirm that the connector is securely connected, as a partially connected connector is suspected for the cause of these DTCs.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Pre-Crash and Pre-Crash 2 / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

      DTC U1104 is not output B

  2. CHECK CAN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM


    1. Select "CAN Bus Check" from the "System Selection Menu" on the GTS.

    2. Select "Communication Malfunction Check" from the "CAN Bus Check" screen, and then select "OK".

      OK
      CAN communication is normal.

  3. CHECK MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (IGB CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the A2 millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

      Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (SGND CIRCUIT)


    1. Disconnect the A2 millimeter wave radar sensor assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      A2-2 (SGND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  5. REPLACE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly Click here.

    2. Adjust the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly Click here.

  6. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    5. Turn the cruise control main switch on.

    6. Drive the vehicle at the required speed (45 km/h (28 mph) or higher).

    7. Check if the same DTC is output Click here.
