FRONT SEAT SIDE AIRBAG ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

CAUTION:


  • Be sure to read Precaution thoroughly before servicing Click here.

  • Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seat frame and adjuster may injure your hands.

  • If the side airbag was deployed, replace the front seat airbag assembly, separate type front seatback spring assembly, separate type front seatback cover and separate type front seatback pad with the necessary parts in accordance with the extent of the collision damage.

Tech Tips

Use the same procedures for the LH side and RH side.


  1. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

  2. DISCONNECT FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. A00445F

      Disconnect the rubber band.

    2. A0041Y5

      Disengage the claw and 3 clamps to separate the airbag wire harness.

    3. Disconnect the airbag wire harness from the seat clamp.

    4. A004046

      Disconnect the seat heater wire harness connector and disengage the clamp.

    5. Disengage the fastener and separate the airbag wire harness.

  3. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEATBACK COVER WITH PAD

  4. REMOVE FRONT SEAT AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. A003ZYM

      Disengage the 2 clamps.

    2. Remove the 2 nuts and the front seat airbag assembly.

      CAUTION:


      • The nuts must not be reused.

      • Make sure that the separate type front seatback spring assembly is not deformed. If it is, replace it with a new one.
