PERSONAL LIGHT INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. Inspect the interior light operation.

        Component without harness connected

        (Map Light Assembly)

        Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 20 (+B1) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (GND1) and 11 (CTY).

        Interior light door switch OFF and personal light switches OFF Personal light LH and RH do not come on
        Interior light door switch OFF and personal light switch LH ON Personal light LH comes on
        Interior light door switch OFF and personal light switch RH ON Personal light RH comes on
        Interior light door switch ON and personal light switches OFF Personal light LH and RH come on
        Interior light door switch DOOR and personal light switches OFF Personal light LH and RH come on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or map light assembly.

    2. Inspect the center console spot light.


      1. Connect a positive (+) lead from the auxiliary battery to terminal 8 (ILL+) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (GND1).

        Auxiliary battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (ILL+)

        Auxiliary battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (GND1)

        		 Center console spot light comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the roof console box assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      19 (B) - 20 (+B1) Always Below 1 Ω
      1 (GND1) - 17 (E) Always Below 1 Ω
      11 (CTY) - 12 (DCTY) Interior light door switch ON or OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      Interior light door switch DOOR Below 1 Ω
      1 (GND1) - 12 (DCTY) Interior light door switch DOOR or OFF 10 kΩ or higher
      Interior light door switch ON Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the map light assembly.
