LIGHTING SYSTEM Footwell Light Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network ECU) controls the footwell lights.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Check that the light intensity of the light control rheostat is set to maximum.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Active Test.

    5. Check that the footwell lights come on.

      Precondition for using the Active Test to turn lights on and off:


      • Power switch is turned off just before performing the Active Test.

      OK
      Footwell lights come on.

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (AUXILIARY BATTERY - NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. for Front LH


      1. Disconnect the L62 No. 1 interior illumination light assembly LH (footwell light) connector.

      2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L62-2 (B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V
    2. for Front RH


      1. Disconnect the L2 No. 1 interior illumination light assembly RH (footwell light) connector.

      2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L2-2 (B) - Body ground Power switch off 11 to 14 V

    OK
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 INTERIOR ILLUMINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY - INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. for Front LH


      1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L62-1 (L) - 2B-18 Always Below 1 Ω
        L62-1 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
    2. for Front RH


      1. Disconnect the 2B instrument panel junction block assembly connector.

      2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        L2-1 (L) - 2B-17 Always Below 1 Ω
        L2-1 (L) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    OK
  4. INSPECT INSTRUMENT PANEL JUNCTION BLOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the instrument panel junction block assembly Click here.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
