LIGHTING SYSTEM Rear Door Courtesy Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) detects the condition of the rear door courtesy light switch using this circuit.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Main Body / Data List.

    5. Read the display on the GTS.

  2. INSPECT REAR DOOR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY (LH AND RH)


    1. Remove the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Click here.

    2. Inspect the rear door courtesy light switch assembly Click here.

      OK
      Rear door courtesy light switch assembly is normal.

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU) - REAR COURTESY LIGHT SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L7 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the R13 rear door courtesy light switch assembly LH connector.

    3. Disconnect the S11 rear door courtesy light switch assembly RH connector.

    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L7-6 (LRCY) - R13-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      L7-6 (LRCY) - S11-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      L7-6 (LRCY) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
