DESCRIPTION

After normal/trouble signal is output from intrusion sensor as result of self-diagnosis, following malfunctions are detected:


  1. ISIF line circuit is shorted to ground

  2. Reception of signals other than normal/trouble signal

  • Theft warning radar sensor (intrusion sensor)

  • Main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU)

  • Wire harness or connector

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY - MAIN BODY ECU (MULTIPLEX NETWORK BODY ECU))


    1. Disconnect the L8 main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) connector.

    2. Disconnect the U3 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L8-12 (ISIF) - U3-6 (IOUT) Always Below 1 Ω
      U3-1 (GND1) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
      L8-12 (ISIF) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  2. REPLACE THEFT WARNING RADAR SENSOR (INTRUSION SENSOR)


    1. Replace the theft warning radar sensor (intrusion sensor) Click here.
