PRECAUTION FOR DISCONNECTING CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal, initialize the following system after the cable is reconnected.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN USING GTS
When using the GTS to troubleshoot the engine immobiliser system:
Connect the GTS to the DLC3 while the power switch is off, and turn a door courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-second intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.
PRECAUTIONS FOR EACH FUNCTION
Precautions for the key:
The key is a precision instrument. Be sure to observe the following:
Do not drop the key, subject it to strong shocks or bend it.
Do not keep the key in a high temperature area for a long time.
Do not get the key wet or wash it in an ultrasonic washer etc.
Keep the key away from magnets or magnetized items during use.
Do not disassemble the key except when replacing the key battery.
Do not place the key near objects that produce magnetic fields such as TVs, audio systems and electrical ranges, or electrical medical equipment such as low-frequency therapy instruments.
Precautions for the engine immobiliser system inspection:
Make sure to carry the key.
All registered keys for the vehicle should be available when repairing or diagnosing the engine immobiliser system.
PRECAUTIONS FOR AUXILIARY BATTERY
Immediately after removing and reinstalling the auxiliary battery, doors may not be unlocked by the entry & start system. In this case, lock and unlock the doors using the door control transmitter. Then, it will be possible to unlock doors using the entry & start system.
When the auxiliary battery is fully depleted and it is recharged using another vehicle auxiliary battery, start the hybrid control system by performing the following:
Push the P position switch.
Turn the power switch off, open and close the driver door once.
Turn the power switch off → on (ACC) → on (IG).
Start the hybrid control system (turn the power switch on (READY)).
When starting the hybrid control system after removing and installing the auxiliary battery, open and close the driver door and wait 10 seconds before starting the system.
Tech Tips
If the hybrid control system does not start the first time after removing and installing the auxiliary battery, the hybrid control system will start normally from the second time onward.
