DESCRIPTION

The plugin charge control ECU assembly receives or sends a signal from or to the power management control ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Tech Tips

After the repair, plug-in charge the vehicle for 1 minute or more and disconnect the electric vehicle charger cable assembly. And then turn the power switch on (IG) and wait for 10 seconds or more to check that no DTCs are output.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HEALTH CHECK)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to
      Only U0293-449 is output. A
      Only U0293-439 and U0293-449 are also output. B
      U0293-449 and any CAN communication system DTC other than U0293-439 are output. C
    5. Turn the power switch off.

    1. Disconnect the L6 power management control ECU connector.

    1. Disconnect the L6 power management control ECU connector.

    2. Disconnect the S21 plugin charge control ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  6. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - PIMR RELAY)


    1. Disconnect the L5 the power management control ECU connector.

    2. Remove the PIMR relay from the relay block assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
