HYBRID CONTROL SYSTEM, Diagnostic DTC:P3107-213

DESCRIPTION

• The power management control ECU detects a problem in the collision signal line from the airbag ECU assembly and alerts the driver.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (SRS AIRBAG)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / SRS Airbag / Trouble Codes.

   4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to Airbag system DTCs are not output. A Airbag system DTCs are output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

   GO TO DTC CHART (AIRBAG SYSTEM) Click here

2. CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY (CHECK WAVEFORM)

   
   

   1. Connect an oscilloscope between the airbag ECU assembly terminals specified in the table below.

   2. Turn the power switch on (READY).

   3.

      Measure the waveform.

      Item	Contents
      Terminal	L13-14 (GSW2) - L13-25 (E1)
      Equipment Setting	5V/DIV., 500ms/DIV.
      Condition	Power switch on (READY)

      Result

   4. Turn the power switch off.

3. CLEAR DTC

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

   4. Read and record the DTCs and freeze frame data.

   5. Clear DTCs and freeze frame data.

   6. Turn the power switch off.

   
   

   NEXT

4. CHECK DTC OUTPUT (HYBRID CONTROL)

   
   

   1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

   2. Turn the power switch on (IG).

   3. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Hybrid Control / Trouble Codes.

   4. Check if DTCs are output.

      Result
      Result Proceed to P3107-213 is not output. A P3107-213 is output. B

   5. Turn the power switch off.

6. CHECK AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY

   
   

   1. Disconnect the L13 airbag ECU assembly connector.

   2. 

      Text in Illustration

      *a	Component without harness connected (Airbag ECU Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L13-14 (GSW2) - L13-25 (E1) Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   3. Reconnect the L13 airbag ECU assembly connector.

   
   

   NG

   REPLACE AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY Click here

   OK

7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (POWER MANAGEMENT CONTROL ECU - AIRBAG ECU ASSEMBLY)

   
   

   1. Disconnect the L5 power management control ECU connector.

   2. Disconnect the L13 airbag ECU assembly connector.

   3. 

      Text in Illustration

      *a	Rear view of wire harness connector (to Power Management Control ECU)
      *b	Rear view of wire harness connector (to Airbag ECU Assembly)

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition L5-29 (ABFS) or L13-14 (GSW2) - Body ground and other terminals Power switch off 10 kΩ or higher

   4. Reconnect the L13 airbag ECU assembly connector.

   5. Reconnect the L5 power management control ECU connector.

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
