NAVIGATION SYSTEM (for Radio and Display Type) Navigation Voice Circuit between Radio Receiver and Extension Module

DESCRIPTION

This circuit is used when the voice guidance in the navigation system is on or the voice switch of the steering pad switch is pushed.

Using this circuit, the extension module sends signals to the stereo component amplifier assembly via the radio and display receiver assembly.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO AND DISPLAY RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - EXTENSION MODULE)


    1. Disconnect the z31 radio and display receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the z29 extension module connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z31-22 (VOL+) - z29-31 (VOL+) Always Below 1 Ω
      z31-23 (VOL-) - z29-30 (VOL-) Always Below 1 Ω
      z31-24 (SHD1) - z29-29 (SHD1) Always Below 1 Ω
      z31-22 (VOL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z31-23 (VOL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      z31-24 (SHD1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
