INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR


    1. Disconnect the L68 stereo component amplifier assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the N1 and O1 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the I4 and I5 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Disconnect the P3 and Q3 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    5. Disconnect the P6 and Q6 rear No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    6. Measure the resistance between the stereo component amplifier assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

    1. Check that the malfunction disappears when a known good speaker is installed Click here.

      Tech Tips


      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front speaker is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both LH and RH sides.
