DESCRIPTION

This circuit is from the parking brake switch assembly to the navigation ECU sub-assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK BRAKE WARNING LIGHT


    1. Check that the brake warning light comes on when the parking brake is applied and goes off when it is released.

      OK
      The brake warning light operates as specified above.

    GO TO BRAKE CONTROL / DYNAMIC CONTROL SYSTEMS Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (PARKING BRAKE SWITCH ASSEMBLY - NAVIGATION ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the L28 navigation ECU sub-assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the A25 parking brake switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      L28-6 (PKB) - A25-1 Always Below 1 Ω
      L28-6 (PKB) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK
