SIDE MOULDING (for Rear Side) REMOVAL

  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH

      Remove the 6 screws and rear quarter panel mudguard.

  2. REMOVE REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  3. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. A01J757

      Remove the 2 clips and 6 screws.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    4. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Disconnect the 2 No. 3 luggage room wire connectors.

    5. Detach the 8 claws and remove the rear bumper cover.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION LH

      Put protective tape around the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension.

    2. Remove the 2 screws.

    3. Detach the 6 clips and remove the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension.

    4. Remove the 6 clips from the vehicle body.

  5. REMOVE SIDE STEP ASSEMBLY LH

      Remove the 5 bolts, nut and side step.

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION LH

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear No. 2 wheel opening extension.

    2. Remove the retainer.

    3. Detach the 2 clips and remove the rear No. 2 wheel opening extension.

    4. Remove the 2 clips from the vehicle body.
