Tech Tips
Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.
The procedure listed below is for the LH side.
PRECAUTION
Note
After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal. Therefore, make sure to read the disconnecting the cable from the battery terminal notice before proceeding with work Click here.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
REMOVE REAR POWER WINDOW REGULATOR SWITCH ASSEMBLY WITH REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE PANEL
Using a moulding remover, detach the 2 clips and 2 claws.
Disconnect the connector and remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
REMOVE DOOR PULL HANDLE
Remove the screw and door pull handle.
REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the screw.
Detach the 10 clips and remove the rear door trim board.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH
Raise the 6 claws of the rear door inner glass weatherstrip as shown in the illustration, and then remove the rear door inner glass weatherstrip from the rear door trim board.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP LH

Put protective tape around the rear door outer glass weatherstrip.
Detach the 4 claws and remove the rear door outer glass weatherstrip.
REMOVE REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY
Disconnect the connector.
Put a 5 mm (0.197 in.) drill bit into a drill.
Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 4 mm (0.157 in.) from the tip of the drill as shown in the illustration.
Note
Tape the 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going to deep.

Lightly press the drill against the 3 rivets, drill off the flanges of the 3 rivets and remove the front No. 1 speaker assembly.
CAUTION:
Be careful of the drilled rivet as it may become hot.
Note
Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
Do not pry the rivet with the drill because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivet or the drill bit.
Continue drilling and push out the remaining rivet fragments.
Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the inside of the door.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Detach the claw and 2 guides as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.
Disconnect the rear door inside locking cable and rear door lock remote control cable and remove the rear door inside handle.
REMOVE REAR DOOR NO. 2 TRIM BRACKET
Remove the 2 screws and rear door No. 2 trim bracket.
REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER LH
Pull out the rear door inside locking cable, rear door lock remote control cable and wire harness from the rear door service hole cover, and then remove the rear door service hole cover.
Tech Tips
Remove any remaining butyl tape from the rear door panel.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Temporarily install the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
Connect the cable to the negative (-) battery terminal.
Move the rear door glass so that the rear door glass channel can be seen.
Disconnect the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal.
Note
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
Remove the rear power window regulator switch assembly with rear door armrest base panel.
Partially remove the rear door glass run as shown in the illustration.

Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window division bar may fall and become damaged.
Remove the screw and bolt.
Remove the rear door window division bar together with the rear door glass run as shown in the illustration.
Remove the rear door window division bar from the rear door glass run.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN LH
Remove the front side of the rear door glass run.
REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW GLASS LH
Remove the rear door quarter window glass.
REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP LH
Remove the rear door quarter window weatherstrip from the rear door quarter window glass.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the rear door glass from the rear door window regulator assembly as shown in the illustration.
Note
Do not damage the door glass.
REMOVE NO. 2 BLACK OUT TAPE LH
Tech Tips
When removing the No. 2 black out tape, heat the vehicle body and No. 2 black out tape using a heat light.

Note
Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 2 black out tape excessively.
Pull back an edge of the No. 2 black out tape and pull it parallel to the vehicle body to remove it.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL SUB-ASSEMBLY LH

Using a screwdriver, remove the rear door glass channel.
Tech Tips
Tape the screwdriver tip before use.
REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS CHANNEL FILLER
Remove the rear door glass channel filler.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Disconnect the connector.

Loosen the temporary bolt.
Note
Do not remove the temporary bolt. If the temporary bolt is removed, the rear door window regulator may fall and become damaged.
Remove the 3 bolts and rear door window regulator.
Remove the temporary bolt from the rear door window regulator.
REMOVE POWER WINDOW REGULATOR MOTOR ASSEMBLY LH
Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and power window regulator motor.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOULDING LH
Put a 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit into a drill.
Wind tape around the drill bit approximately 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the tip of the drill as shown in the illustration.
Note
Tape the 4 mm (0.157 in.) drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.

Put protective tape around the rear door outside moulding.
Detach the 5 clips and remove the rear door outside moulding.
Remove the 5 clips from the vehicle body.
Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled area.
REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY LH
Disconnect the connector.
Disconnect the rear door inside locking cable and rear door lock remote control cable from the clamps.
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, remove the 3 screws and rear door lock.
REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK REMOTE CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the rear door lock remote control cable.
REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE LOCKING CABLE ASSEMBLY LH
Detach the 3 claws and open the cover.
Remove the rear door inside locking cable.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE COVER LH
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the rear door outside handle cover.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the rear door outside handle by sliding and pulling it in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration.
REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE HANDLE FRAME SUB-ASSEMBLY LH
Using a T30 "TORX" socket wrench, loosen the screw and remove the rear door outside handle frame.
REMOVE REAR DOOR FRONT OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear door front outside handle pad.
REMOVE REAR DOOR REAR OUTSIDE HANDLE PAD
Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear door rear outside handle pad.
REMOVE REAR DOOR PANEL CUSHION
Remove the rear door panel cushion.
REMOVE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP LH
Remove the clip.
Detach the 33 clips and remove the rear door weatherstrip.
REMOVE REAR DOOR CHECK ASSEMBLY LH
Remove the 3 bolts and rear door check.
