HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

      Remove the 2 clips and 2 screws.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

    3. Detach the 6 claws and remove the radiator grille.

  2. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01J5MP

      Remove the 3 bolts.

    2. A01J5PD

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock.

    3. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

  3. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01J4LR

      Detach the 3 claws.

    2. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock control lever.

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

      Tie a string to the end of the hood lock control cable assembly as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Use a length of string long enough to pass through the engine compartment.

    2. Detach each clamp and the grommet, and then pull out the hood lock control cable from the vehicle body.

    3. Untie the string from the hood lock control cable.
