FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Slide) INSTALLATION

INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT MOTOR ASSEMBLY (for Slide)
1. Install the slide cable.
  
  Note
  
  Make sure that the cable is correctly inserted into the motor.
2. Install the front power seat motor assembly with slide cable to the slide screws.
  Note
  
  Make sure that the slide rail is locked in the rearmost position.
  
  If the serrations on the slide screw and front power seat motor assembly with slide cable do not align, grip the slide screw with needle-nose pliers and install the front power seat motor assembly with slide cable while slightly moving the slide screw. In these cases, do not turn the slide screw 90° or more.
  
  Do not apply excessive force to the slide cable (do not bend the slide cable 60° or more).
3. Using a 4 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the 4 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  1.6 N*m { 16 kgf*cm, 14 in.*lbf }
4. Using a 5 mm socket hexagon wrench, install the 2 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  5.0 N*m { 51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf }
5. Install the 2 nuts.
  
  Torque:
  
  2.5 N*m { 25 kgf*cm, 22 in.*lbf }
6. Attach the claw to connect the connector to seat frame.
7. Connect the positive (+) battery terminal to terminal 1 of the power seat motor and the negative (-) battery terminal to terminal 2, and then slide the seat and align the matchmarks.
8. Check that the matchmarks are aligned on both sides.
  
  If the matchmarks are not aligned, check the installation condition of the power seat motor assembly, and remove and reinstall the power seat motor assembly if necessary.
9. Connect the connector.
10. Install the seat cushion frame with the 4 bolts.
  
  Torque:
  
  19 N*m { 194 kgf*cm, 14 ft.*lbf }
11. Attach the 4 clamps indicated by the arrows in the illustration to install the seat cushion spring.
12. Attach the 2 wire harness clamps.
INSTALL SEAT CUSHION COVER WITH PAD
1. Attach the hooks to install the seat cushion cover with pad.
2. Using hog ring pliers, attach the rubber bands of the seatback cover to the seat frame with new hog rings.
  Note
  
  Be careful not to damage the cover.
  
  When installing the hog rings, avoid wrinkling the cover.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY LH
1. Install the buckle cover on the seat belt.
2. Attach the wire harness to the clamp.
3. Install the seat belt with the nut.
  
  Torque:
  
  42 N*m { 428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf }
  
  Note
  
  Do not overlap the anchor part of the seat belt and protruding part of the seat adjuster.
4. Attach the clamp as shown in the illustration.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION INNER SHIELD LH
1. Pass the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly below the claw and into the front seat cushion inner shield.
2. Attach the claw to temporarily install the cushion inner shield.
  
  Note
  
  Make sure that the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly is not being pinched inside the front seat cushion inner shield.
3. Attach the guide and claw.
  
  Note
  
  Make sure that the wire harness of the front seat inner belt assembly is not being pinched inside the front seat cushion inner shield.
4. Install the screw to the cushion inner shield.
INSTALL FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH
1. Connect the connector.
2. Install the switch with the 3 screws.
INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD LH WITH FRONT INNER NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION SHIELD
1. Attach the claw and guide to install the cushion shield.
2. Install the 3 screws.
3. Install the 2 screws.
INSTALL SLIDE & VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
1. Attach the 4 claws to install the knob.
INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB
1. Attach the 2 claws to install the knob.
