REAR BUMPER INSTALLATION

  1. INSTALL REAR BUMPER CENTER BRACKET

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both rear bumper center brackets.


    1. Install the rear bumper center bracket with the bolt.

      Torque:
      12 N*m  { 122 kgf*cm, 9 ft.*lbf }

  2. INSTALL REAR BACK STEP FRAME


    1. Install the rear back step frame with the 6 bolts.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  3. INSTALL REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH


    1. Install the rear bumper extension with the bolt.

      Torque:
      18 N*m  { 184 kgf*cm, 13 ft.*lbf }

  4. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER LH


    1. Attach the 4 claws to install the rear bumper side retainer.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  5. INSTALL REAR BUMPER SIDE RETAINER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION LH


    1. Install 6 new clips to the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension.

    2. Attach the 6 clips to install the rear No. 1 wheel opening extension.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

  7. INSTALL REAR NO. 1 WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. INSTALL REAR BODY MUDGUARD SUPPORT LH


    1. Install the rear body mudguard support with 2 new grommets.

  9. INSTALL REAR BODY MUDGUARD SUPPORT RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  10. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. w/ TOYOTA Parking Assist-sensor System:

      Connect the 2 No. 3 luggage room wire connectors.

    2. Attach the 8 claws to install the rear bumper cover.

    3. Install the 6 screws and 2 clips.

    4. Install the 3 clips.

  11. INSTALL REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD LH


    1. Install the rear quarter panel mudguard with the 6 screws.

  12. INSTALL REAR QUARTER PANEL MUDGUARD RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.
