REAR NO. 1 SEAT ASSEMBLY (for LH Side) DISASSEMBLY

Wear protective gloves. Sharp areas on the seatback frame and seat cushion frame may injure your hands.


  1. REMOVE REAR SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY

  2. REMOVE RECLINING ADJUSTER RELEASE HANDLE LH

      Remove the screw and release handle.

  3. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER LH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 4 claws and remove the reclining cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  4. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT RECLINING COVER RH

      Remove the screw.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 3 claws and remove the reclining cover.

  5. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the 4 bolts and seatback.

  6. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEATBACK COVER

      Using a screwdriver, detach the hook labeled A.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 hooks labeled B or open the fastening tapes.

      • Depending on the type of seat cover, hooks or fastening tape is present.

      • Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    3. Open the zipper.

    4. Roll up the seatback cover.

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the 2 headrest supports.

    6. Remove the seatback cover (with pad) from the seatback frame.

      Remove the 2 hog rings and the seatback cover from the seatback pad.

  7. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK BOARD LH

  8. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT BELT ASSEMBLY INNER LH


    1. Remove the bolt and belt.

  9. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT LOCK COVER LH (for Slide Seat Type)

      Remove the screw and the reclining remote control lever knob.

    2. Remove the 7 screws.

    3. Raise the lock cover and remove the rear seat lock control cable from the lock cover's claw. Then remove the lock cover.

  10. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK COVER LH (for Non-slide Seat Type)


    1. Using a screwdriver, detach the claws and remove the 2 lock covers.

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Remove the screw and reclining remote control lever knob.

    3. Remove the 5 screws.

    4. Raise the lock cover and remove the rear seat lock control cable from the lock cover's claw. Then remove the lock cover.

  11. REMOVE REAR NO. 2 SEAT LOCK COVER LH

      Remove the 2 screws and lock cover.

  12. REMOVE REAR SEAT HINGE ASSEMBLY LH (for Slide Seat Type)

      Remove the 2 nuts and hinge.

  13. REMOVE REAR SEAT HINGE ASSEMBLY LH (for Non-slide Seat Type)

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and hinge.

  14. REMOVE REAR SEAT HINGE ASSEMBLY RH (for Slide Seat Type)


    1. Remove the 2 nuts and hinge.

  15. REMOVE REAR SEAT HINGE ASSEMBLY RH (for Non-slide Seat Type)


    1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and hinge.

  16. REMOVE REAR OUTER SEAT TRACK BRACKET LH (for Non-slide Seat Type)


    1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and bracket.

  17. REMOVE REAR SEATBACK LOCK RELEASE BUTTON (for Slide Seat Type)

    1. Using 2 clip removers, remove the 2 rear seatback lock release buttons from the reclining release handle sub-assembly.

      Tech Tips


      • Tape the clip remover tip before use.

      • If a rear seatback lock release button is damaged, replace it with a new one.

  18. REMOVE RECLINING RELEASE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY (for Slide Seat Type)

      Remove the release handle from the rear seat lock through the hole in the rear seat cushion under cover.

  19. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK ASSEMBLY LH

      Using the screwdriver, remove the support spring.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Disconnect the lock control cable from the seat track.

    3. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and lock (together with the lock control cable).

    4. Remove the E-ring, plate and lock control cable from the lock.

  20. REMOVE REAR SEAT LOCK ASSEMBLY RH

      Using a screwdriver, remove the support spring and disconnect the lock control cable as shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts, plate and lock.

  21. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT TRACK BRACKET (for Slide Seat Type)

      Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and bracket.

  22. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (for Slide Seat Type)


    1. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat track to the foremost position.

    2. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 4 "TORX" bolts.

    3. Lift up the seat track adjusting handle and move the seat track to the rearmost position.

    4. Using a screwdriver, push down the handle stopper and detach the claws. Then remove the seat track adjusting handle.

    5. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and seat cushion from the 2 seat tracks.

  23. REMOVE SEAT LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Non-slide Seat Type)


    1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and seat leg.

  24. REMOVE SEAT LEG SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for Non-slide Seat Type)


    1. Using a T40 "TORX" socket, remove the 2 "TORX" bolts and seat leg.

  25. REMOVE REAR SEAT CUSHION UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for Slide Seat Type)

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and hooks.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Remove the under cover from the seat cushion cover. Then hold back the seat cushion cover so that the 5 screws are visible.

      Remove the 5 screws.

    4. Detach the 2 claws and remove the under cover.

  26. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 SEAT CUSHION COVER


    1. Remove the seat cushion cover (with pad) from the seat cushion frame.

      Except TASA made:

      Remove the 6 hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

    3. TASA made:

      Remove the 4 hog rings and seat cushion cover from the seat cushion pad.

  27. REMOVE NO. 1 FOLD SEAT STOPPER BAND ASSEMBLY

    1. Pull the band in the direction indicated by the black arrow in the illustration. Then remove the band.
