AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (for Radio and Display Type) HOW TO PROCEED WITH TROUBLESHOOTING

  • Use these procedures to troubleshoot the audio and visual system.

  • For vehicles equipped with an Extension Module, check the following contents for the radio and display receiver assembly and the Extension Module. (Refer to optional equipment's manuals)


  1. VEHICLE BROUGHT TO WORKSHOP

  2. INSPECT BATTERY VOLTAGE


    1. Measure the battery voltage with the ignition switch off.

      Standard voltage
      11 to 14 V

      If the voltage is below 11 V, recharge or replace the battery before proceeding.

  3. BASIC INSPECTION


    1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.

    2. Check whether or not the display appears on the display and audio and visual module display.

  4. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs.

    3. Recheck for DTCs by simulating the operation indicated by the DTCs.
