The following items can be customized.

Note


  • When the customer requests a change in a function, first make sure that the function(s) can be customized.


  • Be sure to write down the current settings before customizing.

*: When customizing the ON/OFF setting of the speed-sensitive automatic door lock function and ignition switch-linked automatic door unlock function, please note that the 2 functions' settings are synchronized. For information on how to customize, refer to the flowchart on the following pages.


  1. CUSTOMIZE METHOD FLOWCHART OF SPEED-SENSITIVE AUTOMATIC DOOR LOCK FUNCTION, IGNITION SWITCH-LINKED AUTOMATIC DOOR UNLOCK FUNCTION


    • During customize mode, the alarm control functions are disabled.


    • During customize mode, the following wireless control functions are disabled: remote alarm function, automatic locking function, operation stop function and illuminated entry function.


    • In the flowchart, "lock operation" and "unlock operation" refer to wireless transmitter lock operation and unlock operation.


    • During customize mode, the ECU will not output lock/unlock signals.


    • At any time during customize mode, inserting the key into the key cylinder will end customize mode.


    1. CHECK THAT THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET


      1. No key is in the ignition key cylinder.

      2. The theft deterrent system is in the disarmed state (when either condition below is met):


        • - All the doors are in the unlocked condition and the doors are locked and unlocked using the transmitter.

        • - The key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder, the ignition switch is turned ON then OFF, and then the key is removed.


        NEXT

    2. INSERT KEY AND PULL OUT KEY. REPEAT ONCE WITHIN 5 SECONDS.

      Tech Tips

      If the key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder and the ignition switch is turned ON, the customization mode will be canceled.

    3. WAIT FOR 5 SECONDS

      Tech Tips

      If the key is inserted into the ignition key cylinder without waiting 5 seconds, customization mode will be canceled.

    4. PRESS AND HOLD DOWN BOTH LOCK AND UNLOCK SWITCH


      1. Press and hold down both lock and unlock switches for over 3 seconds or more.

        Note

        Perform this procedure within 5 seconds of completing the previous step.

        Tech Tips

        When customize mode has been entered, the hazard warning lights will immediately flash once.

    5. PERFORM LOCK OPERATION


      1. Perform the lock operation 2 times within 2 seconds.

        Note

        Perform this procedure within 5 seconds of completing the previous step.

        Tech Tips

        If the lock operation is performed over 5 times or the unlock switch is pressed, customize mode will end.

    6. PERFORM UNLOCK OPERATION


      1. Perform the unlock operation once.

        Note

        Perform this procedure within 2 seconds of performing the last lock operation of the previous step.

        Tech Tips


        • After the hazard warning lights flash 2 times, the user can confirm the customize setting, customize the setting, or end customize mode.


        • A selection must be made within 10 seconds.
