WASHER MOTOR REMOVAL


  1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    Note

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  2. REMOVE WASHER INLET SUB-ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the clip.

    2. Pull the washer inlet of the washer jar and pump upward. Then remove it from the windshield washer jar and pump.

  3. REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE

      Remove the 2 clips and 2 screws.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the radiator grille.

    3. Detach the 6 claws and remove the radiator grille.

  4. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER LH (w/ Fog Light)

      Put protective tape around the fog light cover.

    2. Using the screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and remove the fog light cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE FOG LIGHT COVER RH (w/ Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER LH (w/o Fog Light)

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the front bumper hole cover.

    2. Using the screwdriver, detach the 8 claws and remove the front bumper hole cover.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  7. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER HOLE COVER RH (w/o Fog Light)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  8. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER COVER

      Remove the 6 screws and 3 clips.

    2. A01J3V1E01

      Put protective tape around the front bumper cover.

    3. Remove the 2 screws, 2 bolts and 5 clips.

    4. w/ Headlight Cleaner System:

      Disconnect the headlight cleaner hose, and then drain the washer fluid.

      Tech Tips

      Use a container to collect the washer fluid.

    5. w/ Fog Light:

      Disconnect the 2 fog light connectors.

      Detach the 8 claws and remove the front bumper cover.

  9. DRAIN WASHER FLUID

      Disconnect the washer hose from the windshield washer motor and pump, and drain the washer fluid.

      Tech Tips

      Use a container to collect the washer fluid.

  10. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER JAR ASSEMBLY

      Remove the grommet.

    2. A01J5NT

      Disconnect the 2 connectors and 2 washer hoses.

    3. Detach the 3 clamps and remove the 3 bolts. Then remove the washer jar and pump.

  11. REMOVE WINDSHIELD WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Pull out the washer motor and pump from the packing of the washer jar.

  12. REMOVE REAR WASHER MOTOR AND PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Pull out the rear washer motor and pump from the packing of the washer jar.
